My name is Rachel, I’m an illustrator and designer from Bristol, I founded the company Hare Raising Designs which proudly produces high quality, ethically sourced clothing, paper goods and accessories, which I then sell to individuals and buyers within the museum and heritage sector.

Using My eco-friendly products and interactive children’s book series, I intend to help educate people to be kind to nature and conserve our planet for future generations, which is very much at the heart of my business ethos.

I do a lot of research into all my suppliers to make sure I only sources from fair wear, WRAP Certified, independent or UK based companies. The clothing is bought from Fair wear or WRAP certified companies.

All the greetings  cards and card packaging is recycled and biodegradable.

I'm working on making all of my packaging biodegradable and recyclable.

Hare Raising Designs Story:

I've not always drawn goofy dinosaurs and sperm whales, I studied photography at Falmouth many moons ago, but shortly after found a real passion for drawing, from there I got my first exhibition and since then I've been selling my wares in local markets and arts trails, but this all seemed like more of a sideline hobby until last year everything changed!

I was fast approaching the ripe old age of 30 when I came across The Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme, so I took the plunge and went part time at work to be able to qualify for the course.

It was THE best thing I have ever done, in the last 12 months I have elevated Hare Raising Designs from a 'barely making any money hobby' to a 'i'm about to send out catalogues to stockists' growing business.

If you like what I do or just want to get in touch for a chat about business or art do drop me an email, many thanks,
